Newly Appointed Nurse Practitioner Joins Award-Winning Staff
MONTCLAIR, NJ (July 27, 2016) – Van Dyk Health Care has named Christina Vassallo as its first-ever nurse practitioner in Montclair, expanding its capabilities in primary care as the company finalizes plans to launch a groundbreaking memory care center in Hawthorne.
“For us, every investment in our staff strengthens the health of our community,” said Jacqueline Cousins, who serves as the administrator at Van Dyk Montclair, as well as the company’s Vice President of Data Strategy. “Adding a full-time nurse practitioner has been a top priority, and Christina is a welcomed addition to our team.”
Vassallo, who served four years as a nurse practitioner at the Endocrine & Diabetes Center and seven years in a similar role at the Jersey City Medical Center, will work closely with Van Dyk Montclair Medical Director Dr. Marc Morresi and the nursing staff to keep patients out of the hospital and remain safely in their homes longer. She has provided extensive assessments, diagnoses, education and treatment to patients in a vast range of care.

Vassallo joins a Van Dyk Montclair staff that has qualified three consecutive years for the American Health Care Association’s “Quality Initiative” for cultivating highly satisfied, well-trained and committed staff.
